I always look forward to the long weekend. My chance to get out of the boarding house for an extended weekend. My chance to catch up on some good sleep. My chance to drink softdrinks and dine at different restaurants, experiencing different or old favourite tastes. My chance to get out of the study atmosphere.

I spent the day with my Year 12 friend also from the boarding house, Mint in the city. I joined her and her health advisor in a few games of badminton, and some strange health milkshake. Mint and I walked around the city for about an hour after that. This is what my social life should be like. x)

Mum's friend from Canberra arrived in Sydney today and will be staying a night with us. They both went out for dinner, after picking me up from the city. "And what about my dinner?" I asked them. Mum pulled out some uncooked lamb chops from last night and the scanpan grill thing. "You can cook," mum replied. Right, 15 minutes to heat up the grill/pan-thing, 30 minutes for lamb to defreeze off the stove, 6 minutes on both sides of the lamb chop... Mum suggested I cook some pasta too, and pulled out some pasta and sauce. Ok let's see, boil water and put in pasta, check pasta if cooked by tasting, put sauce in pot and heat, add some water, stir every once in a while to prevent burning, check sauce is cooked/well-heated by tasting...

My very first home cooked meal. Boy, am I proud of myself! [I'd have some pictures here, but my mum's laptop doesn't have Bluetooth or Infrared. Guh!]

I'm off to do the dishes now. After that, I'll have a shower and hop into my peejays, pop in a DVD and snuggle up on the couch with a hot chocolate. Quiet weekends, I suppose, can be quite therapeutical :)

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cheers.

it all started here (i doubt the link works anymore though), in a dodgy little blog page. then it moved to here. a year later, and we moved to better things, namely blogspot.
